1.0 OBJECTIVE:
To
lay down the operation procedure for Oven tray dryer.
2.0 SCOPE:
This
SOP shall be applicable for the operation of Oven tray dryer in Drying Room at Production
department.
3.0 RESPONSIBILITY:

5.0 MATERIAL AND
EQUIPMENT:
5.1
Oven tray dryer.
6.0 PROCEDURE:
6.1 Start-up and
Operation:
6.1.1
Pour in grains
evenly spread in S.S. trays.
6.1.2
Filled trays are
to be pushed in the respective channels in the oven chamber.
6.1.3
Close the doors
and lock them properly by rotating doors handle.
6.1.4
Plug in the
receptacle and switch on the power supply.
6.1.5
Main power supply
breaker is to be switched on.
6.1.6
Switch on the fan
and heater of the chamber.
6.1.7
Hot air blower in
oven at a temperature of 50°C or Assistant required will equally dry the
material spread over in trays.
6.1.8
After half an hour
the blowers and heaters are shut down to check the dryness of material. The
material is mixed and again the cycle is repeated until the required dryness is
obtained.
6.2 Stop Over:
6.2.1
Switch off the
heaters and blowers.
6.2.2
Open the fresh air
damper by pulling the lever.
6.2.3
Switch off the
main power supply and pull out the plug from the receptacle.
6.2.4
Open the doors and
remove the material trays manually.
6.3 Precautions:
6.3.1
Do not keep the
door of the instrument open for a long period when the temperature is on.
6.3.2
Never put any
inflammable material in the hot oven for drying (e.g. with high contents of
alcohol, spirit etc.).
