Cleaning Of Sampling Equipments SOP
1.0 OBJECTIVE:
To
lay down the procedure for cleaning of sampling equipment.
2.0 SCOPE:
This
SOP is applicable for the procedure for cleaning of sampling equipment.
3.0 RESPONSIBILITY:

5.0 MATERIAL AND
EQUIPMENT:
5.1
Sampling
equipments.
5.2
2.5% Dettol solution.
5.3
Hot air oven.
5.4
Poly-bag.
5.5
Tap water.
5.6
Purified water.
6.0 PROCEDURE:
6.1
For
Scoops/ Spoons:
6.1.1
Clean the sampling
devices with running tap water followed by 2.5% Dettol solution to remove
adhering material.
6.1.2
Finally rinse with
purified water.
6.1.3
Check the cleanliness
physically and clean again if it is necessary.
6.1.4
Dry in hot air
oven at 60oC±5oC for 30 minutes.
6.1.5
Put the clean and
dried equipment in a poly-bag and keep it at appropriate place.
6.2
For
sampling pipettes (Glass):
6.2.1
Clean the
equipment with running tap water followed by 2.5% Dettol solution to remove
adhering material and rinse.
6.2.2
Finally rinse with
purified water.
6.2.3
Check the
cleanliness physically and clean again if it is necessary.
6.2.4
Keep the washed
tubes for draining on the stand meant for the same.
6.2.5
After the tubes
are dried the ends are covered with poly-bags.
6.3
For
sampling rods (Stainless steel):
6.3.1
Clean the things
with running tap water followed by 2.5% Dettol solution to remove obvious
adhering particles.
6.3.2
Finally rinse with
purified water.
6.3.3
Check the
cleanliness physically and clean again if required.
6.3.4
Wrap the clean and
dried equipment in a poly-bag & keep it inappropriate place.
6.4
After cleaning
record to be maintained.
6.5
After cleaning
sampler can be used with in 48hrs.
