Handling And Control For Prohibited Items
1.0 OBJECTIVE:
To
lay down procedure for handling and control for the prohibited items.
2.0 SCOPE:
This
procedure is applicable for the indenting, receiving, storage and control of
the Rectified spirit, Absolute alcohol, acetic anhydride and Ammonium chloride
used in the quality control laboratory.
3.0 RESPONSIBILITY:

5.0 PROCEDURE:
5.1 Procedure for
Indenting, Receiving, Storage and Control for Rectified spirit and Absolute
alcohol:
5.1.1
Verify the stock
and raise the indent based on the monthly statement for items stated in scope.
5.1.2
To indent
Rectified spirit and Absolute alcohol fill up the form R.S. III (Requisition
for Rectified spirit or Absolute alcohol).
5.1.3
Fill up all the
required information and authorized it by the responsible manager.
5.1.4
Send the duly
filled form to the administration dept. for the execution.
5.1.5
Received the
absolute alcohol and rectified spirit with Challan of the supplier/
manufacturer and send duly signed one copy to the account dept. along with GRN
for payment and keep one copy for our record.
5.1.6
Keep stock of the
absolute alcohol and rectified spirit in a register which is controlled and
stamped by the prohibition and excise office.
5.2 Procedure for
Indenting, Receiving, Storage and Control for Acetic anhydride and Ammonium
chloride:
5.2.1
Indent other
chemicals (Acetic anhydride and Ammonium chloride) in the general indenting
format indicating manufacturer’s name, grade and quantity required.
5.2.2
Send a copy of the
indent to the purchase department.
5.2.3
Received acetic
anhydride and Ammonium chloride with Challan of supplier/ manufacturer and fill
up the form (consignment received note) and send the form with duly signed by
the manager to the supplier/ manufacturer.
5.2.4
Send a copy of the
Challan with duly signed to the account dept. along with GRN for payment.
5.2.5
Keep stock of the
acetic anhydride and ammonium chloride in a separate register.
5.3 Issue
as per the requirement and maintain the stock register.
5.4 Stock
register should contain following details as given in Annexure 1.
